ABSTRACT

The objective of the verication and validation phase is to prove the design meets all requirements of the device. To this end, testing at various levels of the design is conducted according to approved test plans, results documented, and results aligned with the requirements. The activities include:

• Hardware verication and validation • Hardware data analysis • Software verication and validation • Software data analysis • System verication and validation • System data analysis • Documenting everything

At the completion of the verication and validation phase, certain documented deliverables should be completed before moving on to the next phase of the development process. Management reviews the deliverables and decides whether the project has done sufcient work to merit moving on to the next phase.
