ABSTRACT
The design and development process is composed of various phases or checkpoints. One phase follows another, although during the process, the previous phase may need to be revisited. Many companies require a management review and sign-off on the work of a particular phase before the project team moves on to the next phase. Sign-off indicates management agreement that the project team has completed suf-cient work to go to the next phase.
