ABSTRACT

In this chapter, the principles of e¡ective expert witnessing are summarized in a hypothetical case study involving an expert who was retained by an attorney to research and form opinions. At a certain point in the litigation the attorney decided the expert’s work opinions would not stand up to a motion to exclude based on Daubert factors, ¤red the expert, and refused to pay for services rendered. e expert then sued the attorney to collect her fees.
