recently [6-7]. Scientists and engineers are eager to develop novel approaches for synthesizing various nanomaterials with extraordinary properties. Therefore, this chapter is set to mainly discuss nanomaterials, including metallic silicide and functional metal oxide nanowires (NWs), for their physical properties as well as their novel applications.
