ABSTRACT

Social enterprising is based on effective knowledge management. So, it’s worthwhile spending a bit of time delving into this paradigm so that we can fully appreciate this important relationship. Knowledge management can be defined as the processes which support knowledge collection, sharing, and dissemination. Many senior managers emphasize knowledge management as an important means of innovation. In organizations, it is essential to address effective knowledge flow among employees, as well as knowledge collaboration across organizational boundaries, while limiting knowledge sharing. Knowledge workers are considered to be the intellectual capital of a company and a key factor in its sustainable development. The expectations for knowledge management, and by definition knowledge sharing, are that it would be able to improve growth and innovation; productivity and efficiency reflected in cost savings; customer relationships; employee learning, satisfaction, and retention; and management decision making.
