ABSTRACT

The manufacturing floor had been shut down for scheduled maintenance the previous week, providing an extended holiday for production employees. This had caused all kinds of problems, both real and imagined, for the sales force nationwide, and the sales teams’ problems had landed in the middle of the engineering offices on January 3rd. With the holidays behind them, and a new year of much needed hope in front of them, Fred had gathered his team back together to discuss their expectations of the results to be posted for each of the pilot areas at the end of the week. Fred had intentionally called this meeting for late in the day to allow Jimbo and the engineering team time to provide initial responses to most of the issues they found from both Sales and Manufacturing this morning when the manufacturing floor started production again.
