ABSTRACT

This chapter is based on circumstances described by Corey1 for psychotherapists coupled with my experiences in leading workshops on sustainable community development, development of vision statements, and resolution of environmental con¤icts in a number of different cultures. Situations confronted by psychotherapists and leaders have much in common. Caroline Myss af‚rms that: “So much of the way we respond to the external challenges is determined by how we respond to ourselves. In addition to all the relationships we have with people, we must also form a healthy and loving relationship with ourselves.”2
