ABSTRACT

The intent of transformation is to change a form or substance, appearance, character, or disposition. The hardest and most time-consuming part of the transformation process is preparing the team to manage the stressors related to it. A management support system that encourages transformation despite the risks. A transformational team makes substantial changes in thinking, responding, and acting. Transformational teams are necessary for organizations to remain competitive in an increasingly customer-focused marketplace. Although the benefits of developing a transformational team are visible once the changes are complete, getting there is not guaranteed. Transformational leaders add value to teams by encouraging them to challenge the status quo when necessary and appropriate to support the vision. These leaders facilitate engagement within their teams by inspiring commitment and fostering innovation and collaborative decision making. A clear vision that all team members understand and believe in is essential for transforming teams.
