ABSTRACT
When responding to a missing child incident, the ªrst responder/investigator will be responsible for setting up the ªrst Incident Command Center. It will most likely be their patrol or detective car. ere have been many departments nationwide that have placed the ªrst incident command center at the caller’s location and later determined the caller’s location to be the last known location or abduction location, and unintentionally contaminated potential crime scenes. ese departments have also identiªed the abduction location during a neighborhood canvass and set up the Incident Command Center there with the same results.
