ABSTRACT

Wireless computing devices are proliferating rapidly, creating the need for software applications that can handle the realities of the mobile computing lifestyle. Mobile devices that were used only for making and receiving calls are things of the past. The software development kit (SDK) provides support and templates for designing and developing applications for Windows Mobile platforms. Windows Mobile SDK also has tools that help develop and test applications without any need for real devices and infrastructure. The SDKs include emulators for a variety of Windows Mobile devices. Specific versions of SDKs are required, depending on the platform and the type of device. Windows Mobile Unified Sensor application programming interface provides developers with easy access to the hardware sensors that are available on various phones. Technological advances are happening in the different areas of the entire mobility ecosystem, including mobile device operating systems, hardware, device manufacturers, content creators, carriers, and users.
