ABSTRACT

Cloud computing has changed peoples' thoughts about mobile computing. Verizon is offering cloud-based web hosting along with the high-speed Internet and phone connection. In the context of cloud, developers should be aware of the new set of opportunities that has increased the scope of application development. The pilot phase would help to identify the costs that are involved in migrating to the cloud. Signing the agreement for security of data with the cloud provider is important. The HTML5 technology that is redefining the web markup language in future will create a stable backbone for cloud computing as it offers off-line data caching. Google has provided a Chrome App Store in which different cloud-computing applications are available to install in the Chrome browser or to Chrome operating system. Cloud-based applications will have drastic performance hit if the connectivity is poor as the application depends on connectivity over Internet to the cloud servers.
