ABSTRACT

This chapter provides an overview of the hardware selection criteria for three-dimensional (3D) support and also the various programming options available to developers of various platforms for working with 3D solutions, and some of the 3D-enabling platforms and tools are dealt in detail. 3D face recognition and biometric scans are available on mobile phones, according to the latest trends. With the invention of biometric digital signatures and mobile point-of-sale, the field of 3D face recognition and biometric scan has a great scope in the mobile market. AMD's Imageon processor is a Graphics processing unit for mobile devices that provides support for 3D and Two-dimensional graphics, video and digital cameras, video recording with image stabilization, video transcoding, television out, and other multimedia features. Benchmarking gives a normalized mean for comparing different hardware configurations for graphics processing unit, especially for gamers and overclocking enthusiasts for asserting end-user performance capabilities.
