ABSTRACT
This chapter discusses on the major mobile solutions in the market and some of the emerging trends that are revolutionizing the mobile industry. It provides a glimpse through emerging solutions in the enterprise in m-commerce, mobile marketing, ticketing, banking, security, Push mail services, Safety Answering Point (SAP), enterprise Resource Planning, supply chain, Mobile supply chain management, unified communication, Business intelligence applications, mobile device management, and mobile media management. M-commerce is one of the fastest evolving industries and provides great opportunities for business enterprises, software and telecom service providers, and application developers. Mobile banking is an extension of Internet banking that enables banking operations from mobile devices using thick and thin client applications installed in the mobile device. SAP mobile solutions help in mobilizing existing business solutions by making use of the existing Information technology infrastructure and extending the business processes for the mobile world.
