The notion of self-organized dislocation has a rich history of supporting literature. Some of the pertinent work can be found in Kubin and Canova (1992); Glazov, Llantes, and Laird (1995); Suresh (1998); Kabaldin and Murav’yev (2007); Pisarenko, Voinalovich, and Mailo (2009); Taniguchi, Kaneko, and Hashimoto (2009); and Yang et al. (2011).
