Putting Value at the Center of Healthcare ........... Recent Legislative Solutions and Why They Won’t

Over the last several years, there’s been a fever-pitched drumbeat to do healthcare reform and to do it now. This culminated in 2010 with passage of landmark legislation whose 2,700 pages purported to “fix the system.” Regardless of the Supreme Court’s decision on the constitutionality of the individual mandate and severability, the healthcare industry needs reform, and policy makers have an important role in enabling that to happen.
