ABSTRACT

Who are the bullies? Studying the ‘bullies’ is an extremely new area for research, and consequently the data here will be limited. This chapter will draw on the large studies of bullying at work that have been examined already in order to add to our knowledge of bullies. However, these studies have given us information from the target’s point of view-we are not hearing directly from the bullies. The absence of data from bullies means that we have cast the net wider, and so in this chapter we will include evidence from other areas of study which relate to the contemporary topic of bullying at work.
