ABSTRACT

Introduction Since the end of World War II, motorcycle clubs and gangs have been a part of American culture. The names of these gangs are well known to most, names such as the Outlaws, the Sons of Silence, the Mongols, the Hells Angels, the Pagans, and the Bandidos. What started as social groups for many gangs has moved into crime of all types: murder, rape, drugs, smuggling, kidnapping, and other crimes (Richardson, 1991).
