ABSTRACT
One of the biggest differences between floors and other building elements made of concrete is that floors must be finished. With walls and columns, the surfaces exposed to view are cast against forms. A floor also has forms, but its all-important top surface is unformed. Finishing is the process of making that unformed top into a usable floor surface.
