ABSTRACT

Introduction Stable isotope ratio measurements are becoming important for methods aimed at determining the origin of organic molecules found in biological uids. In particular the relative abundance of stable isotopes of carbon (carbon-12 and carbon-13) is very useful and can be determined by modern instruments at high sensitivities and high precision.
