ABSTRACT
The most recent comprehensive treatise Physiology of Flower Bulbs by A. A. De Hertogh and M. Le Nard was published in 1993. Over the last 20 years, the general approach to plant research and horticultural production changed in rather dramatic ways. Therefore, a collective effort to analyze the current status in geophytes science, technology, and production systems was imperative.
