ABSTRACT
In this chapter we discuss parabolic equations for two-dimensional bounded medium. We consider rectangular domains and domains where there is circular symmetry. The presentation is very similar to that for two-dimensional hyperbolic equations (Chapter 11). As always the reader is reminded that the mathematics presented is not limited only to discussions of heat conduction but has broader applications such as diffusion.
