ABSTRACT
Lagging or cladding is the outer-most covering of a boiler to protect the insulation from damage. In former times it used to be cloth covering held tightly by calcium silicate or bitumen sealing layer. The purpose was to protect the inner insulation from seepage of M and to give an aesthetic look to the boiler.
