ABSTRACT
Flue gas temperature measurement is desirable for both boiler designers and operators. Accurate measurement, while essential, is particularly difficult at high temperatures. Optical and radiation pyrometers are not designed for measuring gas temperatures. Ordinary TCs indicate lower temperatures and give large error as can be seen in Figure 19.1.
