ABSTRACT
Utility boilers have come to mean large coal-fired PF and CFBC boilers driving STs in Rankine cycle mode as FO and gas are used for generating power in CCPPs using GTs. The term ‘coal’ is used here in its broad sense to include anthracites, lignite and peat in addition to various bituminous and sub-bituminous coals.
