ABSTRACT
One of the principal aims of engineering design is the assurance of system performance. The objective of this chapter is to discuss the reliability of the structure system. In addition, the way of obtaining the load and resistance factor design will be examined for the American Concrete Institute (ACI), British Standard (BS), and European (EC2) codes.
