ABSTRACT
Weka4WS extends the well-known Weka data mining tool-kit to support the execution of distributed knowledge discovery applications using a service-oriented approach. is chapter introduces Weka and presents the architecture and features of the Weka4WS framework. e chapter shows, in particular, how the two visual interfaces of Weka4WS, the Weka4WS Explorer and KnowledgeFlow environments, can be used for running distributed knowledge discovery in database (KDD) applications on a Grid infrastructure.
