ABSTRACT
Functional and comfort properties are more and more a decisive value for customers and many footwear companies perform test batteries to analyze aspects like fitting, shock absorption, cushioning, flexibility, torsion, friction, perspiration, thermal isolation, or global comfort. Despite the lack of standards in this area, research organizations have developed their own machine and user tests to assess these footwear functional aspects.
