ABSTRACT
A terrorist bombing has less-than-subtle applications. Suicide bombers blow up innocent citizens along with themselves. A ton of fertilizer mix destroys a federal building and the lives of the people in it. Roadside bombs called improvised explosive devices or IEDs kill our soldiers on routine patrols. Bombs need have no political motivations. In Chicago in the 1930s, many gangsters were vaporized along with their automobiles. Explosive devices appear in many forms and for many purposes throughout history. e apparent purpose of the device in this case involved ending an unhappy marriage. Divorce would have been cheaper and ultimately, more e°ective.
