ABSTRACT
Human settlements are the basic environments that urban residents live in and are also the basis of urban ecological construction. In this section, we review the connotation and characteristics of urban ecological human settlements and then discuss construction, including residential areas with reasonable layouts, perfectly functioning infrastructure, and ecological residential areas that are environmentally safe.
