ABSTRACT
Because the life expectancy is very high in the industrialized world, an increasing number of graying populations are being added every year. This requires healthcare support system specialties such as regenerative medicine for organ repair or replacement. In particular, war veterans returning from Iraq and Afghanistan, who have signiŒcant organ damage or amputations, need organ replacements. Therefore, older population and war veterans require the help of regenerative medicine, and there is an increasing pressure to develop procedures for their treatment and to improve their quality of life.
