ABSTRACT

Inorganic toxins, unlike organics, are not bio-degradable and hence

build up in the environment. The importance of trace analysis in

toxin monitoring and the essential criteria for selecting suitable

analytical technique are described in this chapter. Toxicity of a

certain inorganic toxin depends on the existence of a particular form

or specie in the environment, which generates the notion about the

importance of chemical speciation in environmental analysis. The
