ABSTRACT

Operation of PE presses require a hydraulic or pneumatic system which can generate a pressure of up to 2500 bars, in routine operation usually up to 1800 bar. Depending on the type of cell, the volume filled by the hydraulic fluid inside the cell is between 5 cm3 (VX1) and 50 cm3 (V7). To this has to be added the volume in the tubing up to the high pressure pump which is typically 10-50 cm3.
