ABSTRACT

Introduction is chapter describes a case study in the application of the Composite Agile Method and Strategy (CAMS) in practice. e scenario depicted in this case study is of an outsourced project. One of the key reasons for selecting an outsourced project in this case study is the difficulties in applying Agile practices to such projects because of the need to agree on and formalize commercial relationships. All Agile methods work on an implicit assumption of the availability of all stakeholders in the vicinity of the work. In Agile approaches, the business specifying the problem and the developers of information technology (IT) solutions collaborate as closely as they can. is collaboration may not be as readily achieved in outsourced projects. From commercial agreements to outsourced staff not being seen as part of the company, outsourced (and especially offshored) projects face challenges of distance, time zones, and cross-cultural value systems.
