ABSTRACT
This chapter focuses on frequency domain equalization (FDE) for Long Term Evolution (LTE), namely, SC-FDE (single carrier-FDE) and OFDM (orthogonal frequency division multiplexing).
Enhancement schemes such as turbo decoding, multi-resolution modulations, IB-DFE (iterative block-DFE), space time block coding, and CRMs (complex rotation matrices) will be analyzed, among others. Both SISO (single-input single-output) and MIMO (multiple input, multiple output) configurations will be used, and different channel estimation procedures will be discussed.
