ABSTRACT
Association rule A production rule A → B for a set of, for example, warehouse transactions in which A and B are nonoverlapping sets of goods, or any categories in general. It is characterized by its support (proportion of transactions containing A in the set of all transactions) and precision (proportion of transactions containing B among all those containing A): the greater the support and precision, the better the quality of the association rule.
