ABSTRACT

Once a micro-irrigation system has been designed, it is necessary to translate the design drawings into a functioning irrigation system. Every irrigation system is unique, and therefore no installation guideline can cover all situations. However, experience has shown that there are a great many tasks, and numerous pitfalls, which are common to all systems. The following guidelines are meant to clarify commonly accepted procedures for construction, installation, and testing of micro-irrigation systems. Use of these guidelines will help to synchronize the various steps which are required for a proper and smoother installation, and result in fewer problems.
