ABSTRACT

Introduction Multi-ethnic kindergarten classrooms can be found in many parts of the world, but especially in the USA [1]. Since social development is based on observation and imitation in respect to the social learning theory [2], and the child’s peers play a role in social development [3], the inuence of the multi-ethnic classroom on social-emotional competence must be taken into serious consideration.
