ABSTRACT
The examination of visual field is performed by asking the patient to cover one eye and fixate on the examiner’s opposite eye. Then the examiner tries to map the visual field by bringing his or her finger from the periphery to the boundary of the visual field. This will repeat for the four quadrants (i.e. from upper right, upper left, lower right, and lower left to the centre) (Figure 12.1).
