ABSTRACT
It is essential that the radiographer establishes a rapport with the patient and carers. The radiographer must first introduce him or herself and inform the patient/carer what to expect the during the examination. Then they must make sure the request form is for the patient being examined and the clinical details and history are accurate. The patient/ carer’s consent must be requested before the examination starts.
