Observations on the Behavior of Reinforced Concrete Buildings during Earthquakes

Overview of the concrete building behavior during the major earthquake of Bucharest, 1977, is presented. The earthquake-generated damage of buildings, as a whole, and of their components – beams, columns, structural walls, is separately described and commented upon. Strengthening solution for an earthquake damaged multistory building is briefly described.
