ABSTRACT

Sarcoidosis can affect any organ, most commonly the lungs

(Lynch et al. 1997). One of its most recognizable manifesta-

tions is erythema nodosum, which has an excellent prognosis.

Other presentations include extrathoracic lymphadenopathy,

eye involvement and abnormal liver function. Kidney, central

nervous system (CNS), heart and musculoskeletal involve-

ment are seen in a minority. Management often needs a

multidisciplinary approach.
