ABSTRACT
In general, the role of surgery in the management of
sarcoidosis is confined to obtaining confirmatory tissue
diagnosis. Surgery may be required to manage complications
such as pericarditis or laryngeal sarcoidosis, but this is not
usually specific to the disease.
