ABSTRACT
A 23-year-old woman has a positive pregnancy test but is uncertain about the exact stage of her pregnancy. She thinks that her last period was 4 months ago. She has had irregular and infrequent periods in the past. She has presented for her fi rst antenatal visit, in her fi rst pregnancy.
