Long saphenous varicose vein surgery

Varicose veins are dilated tortuous superficial veins affecting the lower limb. Found in distribution of the:

• long saphenous vein (most common) • short saphenous vein.

This is uncertain but an underlying weakness of the vein wall is likely.
