ABSTRACT
Abnormal involuntary movements can be relatively easy to recognize if you have seen
such a case before (pattern recognition). All is not lost if you have not, for more
important than jumping to conclusions is your ability to carefully and accurately
describe what you see and then, based on the observed phenomenology, come up with
a reasonable differential diagnosis.
