ABSTRACT
A 32-year-old lady who is para 2, with a previous caesarean section, undergoes an elective repeat caesarean section. Difficulties are encountered during peritoneal entry. Urine is found to be bloodstained at the end of surgery. A methylene blue test shows a 2 cm rent in the dome of the bladder. N The incidence of bladder damage during caesarean section is about 0.3 per cent.
