ABSTRACT

A 26-year-old woman attends the gynaecology clinic with a single, painless ulcer on her vulva. There is no associated itching. On examination there is a shallow ulcer on the right labia majora with enlarged but painless regional lymph nodes. F Primary syphilis presents with shallow, punched-out ulcers with or without

associated lymphadenopathy about 10-90 days following initial exposure.
