ABSTRACT

A 62-year-old woman presented with inferior ST-elevation myocardial infarction. She was thrombolysed with tenectaplase and she remained well for 72 hours. On the fourth day after admission she had a grand mal seizure that self-terminated in 3 minutes. After the fit she remained drowsy. She is known to have ischaemic heart disease and hypertension. Her current medications are: aspirin, 75 mg once daily; ramipril, 2.5 mg once daily; bisoprolol, 5 mg once daily; atorvastatin, 40 mg once daily; GTN spray p.r.n.
