ABSTRACT
Neuropathologists are expected to tackle the interpretation of biopsy specimens from the central nervous system (CNS) and its surroundings, peripheral nerves and muscles. They may also be faced with smears, i.e. wet-film preparations from the operating room, from tumors, or from brain tissue, for instant diagnosis, and with CSF for cytology.
