ABSTRACT
Mathematics plays a very important role in radiology and some knowledge of basic mathematics and formulas is necessary in order to fully appreciate certain applications. As radiology becomes more complex (e.g. radionuclide activity, digital imaging, magnetic resonance, axial tomography) quite simple mathematical procedures often explain complex details more effectively than words or diagrams.
